Bella meets her new room

Happy Mother's Day everyone! We decided to introduce Bella to her new room! She was apprehensive at first, but she warmed up to it and loves it! We put her down for her first nap there this afternoon. Of course, she got out of bed a few times to get books and bring them to bed and read. After about half an hour, she had a meltdown and started crying. I went in there and insisted she had to take a nap. She cried and cried, but I closed the door. She cried for another 5 minutes and then fell asleep! I think we'll just continue with naps only until she is ok with that. I don't want her to wake up in the middle of the night, freaked out that she's somewhere new.

Here's the video:

Here are some pictures.

It's been too long

Yes, I know. It's been too long. I feel bad that I haven't been keeping up, especially since I was so good about documenting my pregnancy with Bella. So where to begin??

Well, we had family pics done a few weeks ago. Beth helped us and we went to the park and took some pics. She did a great job taking pics of all three of us and of Rich and me. I'm so glad I have these pics. We really don't have any family pics, so this was really great. I'm still editing them so it will be some time before I get them all done. I'm hoping to put them in a coffee table book for us, but we'll see. Seems like I never have time these days.

We got this great new stroller, Phil & Ted, that is a single stroller and you can attach a second seat. It's great. It's not really long like a double, and not wide either. Bella loves it! We actually keep it in the family room right now b/c she loves it so much! lol

We are also getting Bella's new big girl room done. We cleared the room out of all the junk that was in there. Then I rushed to paint the room b/c the furniture was being delivered. I painted it a lavender color (at her request) and the furniture came last Friday bright and early! We just have to get her a mattress and then I can put her bedding together and hang up her curtain. I need to cut the curtain in half since I got it on sale and it's a double. But for now, I just need to get it up!

We've been having trouble with her sleeping at night for the last week. She sleeps fine but she was crying so much when we had to put her down. It was so heartbreaking. Once we closed the door, she would settle down within 5 minutes, but to hear her so upset was just so awful. Thankfully the last few nights, she seems to be ok again. She won't let Rich read to her, which is odd, but at least she doesn't cry when we put her down. Now we are going to change everything and put her in a bed. I hope she does well. I am sure she will LOVE the bed, but I'm worried she will be scared being in a new room. We will start with naps and see how it goes.

As for me, I'm doing well. I am 31.5 weeks today. He is moving around well, but we don't know how he's positioned yet. Hopefully he will be head down and stay that way in the next few weeks. If we don't know by 36 weeks, I'll have another ultrasound. We hired a doula (birthing coach) and I couldn't be happier. She is so nice. She came to the house and gave us a private prenatal yoga class. I think Rich is relieved too that he doesn't need to know what to do when we are in the hospital. I am certainly relieved that I don't have to worry about telling Rich what to do! I just pray that I will be able to have a natural, vaginal birth. I do feel sad about my birth experience with Bella, and I just hope this is completely different. Of course, I am thankful that both she and I were perfectly healthy but I felt like Rich and I missed out on that moment since he wasn't in the OR and I was semi-conscious. Here's hoping!
