Marco is 2 months old!
Our baby boy is 2 months old already! It went by so fast. I haven't even had a chance to take any new portraits. Although, at this age, it's not going to look much different than the previous ones. Heck, his 1 month pics look like most babies' 3 month old pics! lol
He is doing great! I think he gained quite a bit because carrying him in the carrier is getting tough! I think we will be putting him in the Marathon very soon. We got Bella a new car seat because Graco just came out with one that rear faces until 40 lbs (her marathon went up to 33). Since she is right around 30-31 lbs, we were close to the limit. She never complains sitting rear facing and it's the safest way for her to travel. So I think we will get quite a bit more time for her to rear face now. Funny how we got the entertainment system in our new minivan and she can't use it for awhile! lol
Oh geez, and that's another thing. We got a minivan! Yep, we did! We got a Honda Odyssey. I LOVE it! We did have 5 cars at that point but Rich sold the Camaro the same week as when we picked up the Odyssey. So we are back down to 4 cars and just need to get the Jeep ready for sale. It will be sad since I met Rich because of my Jeep, but he gave us 12 good years.
As for the kids, they are doing well. Marco is cooing quite a bit now. He says Ooooh and mimicks Hi. He laughs too. I can't remember when he started doing that but probably around 6 weeks. It is such a joy to see his big happy smile first thing in the morning. Well, that is when it's daylight anyway! He is sleeping pretty well though. He started sleeping at least 5 hrs right around 3-4 weeks. Then he hit the 6 week spurt and he was waking up every 2-3 hours. That was killer. At the same time, Bella was waking up screaming too. She and I both had colds so I think that was waking her up. Then she realized how dark it was and freaked out. She is slowly getting better. Anyway, Marco alternates between the average 5 hrs and longer nights. Last night, he did 8 hours! But the night before, he was up every few hours. I wish I just knew what helped him sleep so well!
Bella still adores Marco so much. It is so wonderful to see how much she loves him. It was so hard to tell her not to touch him when she was sick. She just didn't understand why she couldn't hug and kiss him. It was awful. She does have some moments of competitiveness though. One time, she wanted help with a puzzle and I was nursing Marco. She kept asking for help and I told her she had to wait. She said, "Mommy, put him in his chair and come help me." ;-)
Oh and at 6 weeks, we went to a wedding and the kids were also invited (thank you Shirley!) We had a formal outfit that we received from a friend and even though it was 6 months, it fit him. (Yes, he was wearing 6 month clothes by 4 weeks). Here are a few pics. I kept meaning to take pics of Bella and Marco together in the formal outfits, but never got a chance. Hmmm, maybe at the baptism.
